By modifying information contained within the engine management module, the engine can deliver more power. This is specifically achieved by enhancing the ignition, fuel and boost values. This is always the first upgrade to do on all models, it enhances the power through the range and some customers tell us it improves the mpg figures by up to 10%.
To enable us to upgrade your car, we need your control module(s), or car at our workshops. This is the most cost-effective way to improve power whilst maintaining total reliability.
2.0L (98-00): Before 150bhp/240Nm. After 215bhp/320Nm
2.0L (01>): Before 150bhp/240Nm. After 220bhp/320Nm
2.3L (98-00): Before 170bhp/270Nm. After 225bhp/350Nm
2.3L (01>): Before 185bhp/280Nm. After 230bhp/350Nm
Aero: Before 230bhp or 250bhp / 350Nm or 360Nm. After 265bhp/400Nm
Note: When ordering a power upgrade or sending us a unit to be upgraded, please supply your SAAB VIN number.
Note: For customer convenience & ease of installation, all upgraded ECU’s are pre-programmed with the VSS / Immobiliser code for the vehicle.
This feature allows a ‘plug and go’ upgrade, without the need to contact a SAAB dealer with the TECH 2 diagnostic tool to reset the immobiliser.
